Rozen Maiden

Rozen Maiden Review

This is a cute little anime and it is full of some pretty good elements. The story is interesting and the series is not very long which means you don’t have 200 episodes to get through. The anime is can be a little slow to start but it does eventually pick up and take off.

The characters in Rozen Maiden are colorful and full of attitude. Even the more solemn characters have spunk and the show at the same time has a very serious and dark undertone. Who would have guessed porcelain dolls could have some much flair. I enjoyed watching the filler episodes where you get a chance to see the characters at their full potential.

The story itself is original but it is a little stale. The Alice Game, which your going to have to watch to understand, has so much more potential than what they have written for it. When you watch it you will see what I’m talking about.

The music is nice and sets the tone for the show but it is not as memorable or epic as other anime. The visuals and the artistic scope is amazing and there is never a time you feel like your staring at a drab scenery. Even the house all the characters live is lively and full of charm.

Overall Rozen Maiden is one to see and put on your list. It doesn’t actually build until you have been introduced to all the dolls but I can tell you, once you meet them all the fun begins.
